my moment of zen
no cushion necessary
pause, breathe, swing, repeat
is it only me
or are we all more grateful
to see spring this year
the weeping cherry
does not appear to be sad —
just taking a bow
be bold and be brave
wear pink instead of purple
stand out in the crowd
a cloud of blossoms
each open at their own pace
but add to the whole
lovely spring morning
snow covered in mid-april
new england weather
thundercloud plum tree
faithful springtime companion
never disappoints
essential life skills
observe, breathe, repeat again
powerful lessons
despite a saw blade
tenacious and determined
to flower once more
buds as well as people
wrapped tightly for protection
ready to unfurl
sharing energy
intersection, extension —
connected branches
springtime finery
parasols and petticoats
flutter in the breeze
only yesterday
how can it be two decades —
traveling through time
momentary pause
or daylong meditation
embracing stillness
stretching into earth
as faces point to the sun —
garden residents
bright and bold colors
announce the return of warmth
inside and outside
nature’s jewelry store
rows of earrings on display
dressing up for spring
cerulean sky
tree buds bursting with new life —
Easter morning walk
gliding side by side
through turbulent days and calm
companion for life
delicate and pure
pink cloud hovers near the ground
cherry blossom time
