Group MBSR Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (8 week program)

Stress is an inevitable occurrence in our fast paced lives and society. While we cannot eliminate stress in our lives, we can learn to shift from reaction to responsiveness by incorporating mindfulness training.

This 8-week course is modeled after the internationally-recognized program established in 1979 at the of Massachusetts Medical School by Jon Kabat-Zinn. During the course participants will be introduced to and practice various types of guided mindfulness meditation exercises and techniques, including gentle body stretches and self-inquiry exercises.

Upon completion of mindfulness training participants typically report a reduction of stress related symptoms, increased resilience, awareness and concentration, as well as improved coping strategies.

 Dates for Winter 2017 MBSR

  • Monday evenings (7:00-9:00 pm)January 23-March 20  (no class Feb 20)
  • Friday mornings (9:30-11:30 am) January 27-March 24 (no class Feb 24)

Tuition: (includes materials, set of 5 CDs, text and handbook) $495 (Blue Cross Blue Shield discount is $20 off )

Class size is limited to 16 participants per session, to allow for individualized attention. Please register early.

Individual Mindfulness Training (Flexible MBSR)

If a group program in MBSR doesn't fit your needs, Flexible MBSR is a great option. Flexible MBSR is designed to meet the needs of each client. This format is especially useful for those who have unpredictable work or travel schedules, have specific needs related to health conditions, want to jump start a previous meditation practice or desire an individualized approach to learning. Flexible Mindfulness Training can be scheduled mornings, afternoons or evenings either in person in Stress Resources' Concord, MA office or via Skype or WebEx.

Flexible Mindfulness/MBSR

  • 4 private sessions scheduled over a period of 8-12 weeks (or longer) to allow for optimal integration of learning
  • All materials included (guided meditation audio, text, handbook, etc)
  • Choice of in person, phone, Skype or WebEx sessions
  • Train with a friend and save 50% off the second person's tuition
  • Additional sessions may be added on for $150 per session

Tuition: $600 (Blue Cross Blue Shield discount is $25 off)
